Voluntary Pledges

Voluntary Pledges Under the Global Refugee Forum

The Global Refugee Forum is organized every four years under the leadership and coordination of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The Swiss government, together with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, is a co-organizer of the Forum.

Guided by its international obligations and national priorities, Armenia made its first set of pledges in 2019 and expanded them in 2023. In 2019, Armenia pledged reforms focused on prevention, reduction and eradication of statelessness, asylum system strengthening, and refugee integration. By 2023, these commitments were expanded to include access to housing, inclusive education, health care, employment and social protection including the rights of women and girls.

In total, Armenia has made 13 voluntary pledges under the Global Refugee Forum. More details are available at https://globalcompactrefugees.org/pledges-contributions.
